Bear attacks plane

Hope this hasn't already been posted.

Bear attack 2009

Apparently a bear attacked his plane while parked in a remote field in Alaska. He had not cleaned out the inside after a long fishing trip and the bear smelled it.

He had 2 new tires, 3 cases of Duct Tape and several rolls of cellophane delivered. Then went about repairing the plane so he could fly it home.

Gutsy to say the least.

Re: Bear attacks plane

Damn, guys like that will put me out of business!!! Good for him that he had a tubular structure, had that been a Cessna 150 or other such airframe, he'd have been walking!!!

Re: Bear attacks plane

Maybe the bear was just looking for some canvas to wipe his butt.

Re: Bear attacks plane

I know a porcupine left my Grandpa stranded with his cub once...But he was the only one that could wreck his planes that bad though!

Now that is pretty darn cool!! Thankfully the wings were untouched. My first lessons were in one of those on floats. Tough old birds!!!
