    Quad Muffler

Do any of you add a 2nd muffler to your quad to make it even quieter?
Saw it here once but can't find it.
I know they sell one, but they want over 200 bucks.
If I could get the make of muffler I could install it myself.
    What do you think?

The Cabelas catalogue (catalog for our US readers) lists them.

You just need to take your quad to a muffler shop...Explain what you want and have them bend up some pipe and put a muffler on it. I just used a new muffler from a small car...chevy sprint I think.

Buy a nice quiet Polaris and your problem is solved. Riding alongside my buddy on his Grizzly, I can't even hear my own quad, just his howling Japanese drivetrain and noisy muffler.

Apparently some guys just use an extension tailpipe on their quads to quiet them down.

I put one of those on last year and the results were better than expected. Nice and quiet now. I got mine out of the States for $150 US but I don't know what they go for today. The reviews stated that they don't cause undue back pressure, something that a car muffler might. If you want to use a car muffler, check out the issue of back pressure before you put one on.

I heard a farm tractor muffler like you find at an agricultural shop or princess auto work and are under $50. Some guys down in the states are running them with no problems, check out the highlifter website. I also get comments on how quiet my polaris is so i am going to pass.
