    focus

Hey guys , i just found a Bushnell focus free binoculars for $20.

    they are 10x50.

my question is ?, have you used them, how do they peform in the elemements and does auto focus really work.

with limited testing this afternoon i was able to focus on moving car plates a mile up the road. this seems to be a great score just wondering how they have been for you.

I don't think that they're really 'auto-focus' - more like, always focused; - whether you're looking at something close or something else far away.... they'll not need fiddling with.

For 20 bucks, I'd say, give them a go, and let us know how well they work. I've dropped more than 20 bucks on a pair of socks!

Worst case scenario - you'll always have a back-up pair with you on a trip if you end up buying something a little bit fancier if these puppies don't work out as well as you hoped they might.

Take the $20 buy a case of beer. Take two empty bottles, tie them together and use them for glassing.

Even the brown ones will be clearer than looking thru Bushnells.

I HAD a pair, they were actually quite clear (for what they are). They bit the dust last year, trip to Vernon lake in Nov. Never seen rain like it, I might of well just submerged them in a bucket of water for 3 days. But for that price go for it, but have a back up.
