Got me thinking but yet convinced. When i dealt my compound off, I included a homemade press that I concocted. So a press is not a stymieing factor.
Okay, off to make another gander.

Excalibur. My Exomax is so simple, and that's what you want when seconds count as that buck stares you down.
And ya just can't seem to break the damned things - compounds, they break often and easily was what I found out doing my pre-purchase due diligence.
Do some more digging, Dennis, before you lay your money down.
I am not pleased to find bowtech had acquired Excalibur.

For accurate and easy to work on at home or in the field. Excalibur
Bit of a misnomer there.
Bowtech did not acquire Excalibur.
The investment Company that owns Bowtech (and a LOT of other companies as well) bought out Excalibur quite some time ago now.
As far as consumers are involved, nothing has changed at Excalibur.
Same great products, same great service, same outstanding warranty.
All still produced in Canada.
Nothing to fear here whatsoever.
And yeah, if you couldn't tell by now, I highly recommend Excalibur bows.

Ten point makes excalibur look like a fred flintstone weapon.
Yabba Dabba Doo - i know what they used to hunt Dinosaurs then!!. This target was from my Excalibur Exocet xbow at 60yds.
Was sighting it in at my 30yd comfort zone which went well, ran it up 40,50,60 with the scope sights with the same bullseye result all the way up.
Me personally, i like my Excalibur.
I have a matrix 380 .. 18 inches of penetration into frozen hay bales simple design bullseyes all day out to 60 yards with little practice wouldn't change a thing.
Funny you should say that...
My mainland Partner runs a Tenpoint. And he does so with great success, putting most to shame with his very precise performances.
That said, he had an "undefined issue" with his bow last year that caused it to lose accuracy over and over again after being sighted in.
Took a professional bow shop to find the issues and correct them.
NOT something I wish to engage in when I am hunting...
He saw the performance my 380 is capable of.
And now he is actually contemplating an Excalibur...
This is what my 380 does at 100 yards. Those are 2" diameter bullseyes:
And it follows that up by driving broadheads with the exact same accuracy:
Some folks prefer wheels on their crossbows.
I do not.
