    Gun oil

Just wondering what type of gun oil everyone is using to protect their rifles while hunting? Is there a Non-scented or low scented variety out there that people use in order to better stay undetected by game?

Bacon grease while bear hunting, olive oil the rest of the year.

Guns aren't fussy about oil. Lots of guys use automatic transmission fluid because it adheres to metal and doesn't gum up at low temperature.

G96 gun spray, it has a bit of a scent to it but it's about as good as it gets.

I think someone mentioned using "wax" (may have been on a thread in a different forum on this website).
Makes sense to me...IMO....doesn't smell, and doesn't wipe off easily, and it will keep water off.
I've used that Remington DriLube...seems to be some sort of Teflon? spray, which works for me, and doesn't smell.
(atleast not after I leave the room where I sprayed it on!).
G96 is what I see many others also mention.
I use Ballistol, when storing at home in the off season....but it does smell.

Froglube comes in a paste/wax form, but it's scented.

I use G96 on everything, but I like the scent.

Lloyd's Moovit works well, no scent. Birchwood-Casey Barricade is good.
