I asked this earlier in the thread but maybe you didn’t see it.
If you are 55-56lbs all in for a couple week trip, I’d like to learn from your gear and food list. Over the years my biggest increase in pack weight has come from upgrades in optics. Better spotter, binos, tripod and scope have all added weight lol.
My food has been pretty consistent for awhile at 1.3 lbs per day.
This year I’m definitely going to use your string with strips of plastic bag system.
I too would like to see your list...for my hike in elk hunts, my pack is usually 60-65 lbs, but for only a 3-4 day hunt!
[QUOTE=decker9;2447167]Yup defiantly getting excited! My whole year gets booked around sheep hunts, Iv been counting down the days!!
Iv spent the past couple winters building a new sheep rifle stock, it’s back to walnut for this guy. rifle sits at 5 1/5 lb bare I was hoping to checker it before august, but I won’t have time with all the chores piled up. I’m excited to put some mountain miles on it.
We’r headed
cheers and good luck

Thanks fellas. I built that 6.5 prc on an anti action and 22” #1 benchmark firing 140gr accubonds at 2975fps. I have a AGC privateer for it as well. I packed that last season, but swapping out for walnut this season. Iv only got a half dozen rounds through it with the walnut, im curious to see if it (and I) hold the same accuracy as with the AGC stock. Next days off we have a range day planned to give it a good test.
Beautiful rifle if a
