Nice. I did the same with the last of my Elk tenderloin. mmmm
Baked potato loaded with sour cream, red onion, garden fresh parsley & chives on the side.

Linguini with home made pasta sauce, whitetail meatballs, shredded cheddar and cheesy garlic toast:
Complimented very well by a rather fine French Merlot.

Have to love it when the first Sweet Corn of the year rolls in!
Matched that with some Prime Alberta Beefsteak, and airfried taters:
A Shiraz this time was the perfect compliment.

Had a huge free range buzzard the other night.
Way too much for us, so the leftovers went into a great chicken stew.
Six quarts thereof that is:
Wonderful grits on a cold, wet & windy eve.
And a decent stash for more of the same down the road...
