Made a giant batch of chili using about 2.5lbs of ground venison and 6 large bear sausages. Will be taking this along on this weekend's scouting & gear dry-run trip with my hunting buddy. It's not that I *can't* follow a recipe, it's just more fun to keep changing it up, so this is roughly what's in it:
2.5lbs ground venison
6 bear sausages, cut into half inch sections
1.5lbs ground pork
3 large cans diced tomatoes
2 large cans mixed beans
1 large can chick peas
half cup of chopped cilantro
mushrooms
2 huge onions
taco seasoning (secret ingredient)
chili powder
paprika
oregano
ground cumin
large tablespoon of fresh garlic
salt
pepper
