If the world is warming why are there so many new snowflakes?

If we are all equal why do you demand special treatment?

Dandy buck, prime condition. If we are estimating gross, I’d hedge he is pushing low 170 ish. Still hunting?

I was glassing and spotted him bedded right at the timber line at 300 yards. Found a good prone relaxed position. Shot. He limped into the timber and I got a follow up shot in the spine to drop. My measurements say 191-3/8" gross score with 5-4/8" deduction for 185-7/8"total score.

Wow, my apologies. I didnt think he had the tine length. He must have a massive body that made his antlers not look as huge as they are. A big typical with perfect symmetry and in the mountains is a life dream of mine that I have been close to fulfilling a few times. Congratulations that a hard buck to beat.

Ya, I got some pie on my face. I figured this is a 190 buck…. And I wished it lived in the mountains

The closest I ever got to taking one, 1.2 kms away and after crossing the valley with horses and climbing the Mt, he was spotted cresting the peak just as we got to the level he was at. All the other deer stayed but the big guy knew something was up, we spotted him the next day again on the same Mt, at about 1.4kms away and all the sudden he left the group and the valley and was never seen again.

I thought this was about a 180 inch deer.

    Now in more recent times

I figured this was as about a 170 inch deer.

FYI, mule deer here in Northern Alberta are mostly on draw and it is extremely hard to find a big one in hard hit general units. People kill huge mulies with there draws out in the farm land. All it takes is permission on the right guys land and you have an easy earned trophy mulie. Definitely not the same a finding one in the mountains in a general zone.

Glad you did! Resulted in a Great photobomb!

I have a southern foothills MD tag this year.
Seeing 4-5 160-170 bucks every day...
A few a bit bigger but not quite tempting enough, one much bigger just off of where I could shoot.
A 200 typical was killed last week on a quarter I have access to.
Having a blast. Reminds me of the 90's....
Just maybe I'll be able to add a pic to this thread in the next couple of weeks.
