You are probably correct to a point. Taking the human element out though, one thing that can't be denied is how good some of the modern gear is at keeping you warm and dry in tough conditions. Great fitting, quiet, breathable and water resistant clothes make slogging around the mountains a lot more comfortable. Looking at $1200 for a jacket and pants is a little hard to take but the stuff sure works well! It's always funny in the fall in Kamloops, half the town is walking around in camo of some sort.

Okay, on that imgur post the b&c scoring sheet does say unofficial at 207 5/8. So not sure what the official score is if there is one yet. Ill check the BC book when I get home for the current #1's score.

Both fine Bucks but man that one taken last year has such a beauty configuration on that rack the way the tines sweep, dream Buck.

Oh yeah, I have lots of nice gear these days, but I’ve slowed down on buying stuff and started being content with what I have. There’s lots of times I start adding up in my head the amount of money I have in gear inside my truck on the way to the range or on/in my backpack and it’s staggering. 2 items, a rifle and a spotting scope and I’m close to $10k, never mind the bag and all the goretex inside, lol.

but when I’m moose hunting I look like a bit of a hobo on my 15 year old honda foreman in a stanfield with my muck boots and the shittiest rifle in my safe.
