In my experience, white tails rut in the Kettle Vly. Nov. 4th - 9th. Now this all depends on the weather. Sometimes the rut only happens durring the night because its warm out. The deer ( I think ) would rather run around when its cooler. Mulies Im still trying to figure out.
maybe those mulie bucks are just modest.

last year my buddy shot a 170 class mulie near westbank, while it literally had its head up a does ass. It was november 2nd, there was 3 ft of snow on the ground and it was at the highest point of the mountain.

Its my humble opionon that mule deer stay in the high country as long as they can. And just getting home from a trip through pemberton to gold bridge and on back to salmon arm no snow on the mountains . I`ll bet the migration in the yalicom is late this year.

I was up the Yalakom about two weeks ago and on the road over to Mud Lakes, it had snowed a little, but, was very warm, still. To me, the best time to be there is after Remembrance Day.
