    My first stones sheep re-post

Went on my first stones sheep hunt with a couple friends and shot my first ram it was alot of hard work and great times were had. the terrain was very steep and rugged and long days every day. we had all the weather ,snow, rain, sunny and friggin windy. i shot him on opening morning around 9:30 am the ram was 40 on the long side and 371/2 on the broomed side and 91/2 yrs old. I owe alot to my friend for taking me and sharing a great experience and look forward to next year, from what i hear this ram could be hard to beat, but I will try......SB

Got into the spot a few days before the seaon opened and spent the next few scouting, had one day where we never left the tent, kinda snowy and lots of fog, but the day before opening we spotted this ram and put him to bed and headed back to camp. The next day we were up early( I think I was up ALL night) and began the 3 hour walk to were we had seen the ram, as luck would have it he had moved up the hill and was bedded in an open shale slide, after a 45 min belly crawl I shot him in his bed a 317 meters and he never moved a muscle, we made our way over to him and spent the next few hours boning and moving the meat to a snow pack about 200 yrds away and headed back to camp. I slept like a rock. Spent the next few days looking for more sheep and then headed back to the ram and headed to the lake as the weather was bad and waited for a few more days for the weather to clear and the plane picked us up.
