Was up that way last week......still deep snow even on the valley bottom roads in the shaded corners. Turned around at the hatchery as the corners had snow over the knees.

Duncan FSR is open for about 60 km(last few by quad, big rocks on road) Sammy slide at about 60 km is still 20 feet deep! We are seeing some black bears and grizz already. Hwy 31 is pretty good through Trout Lake but still lots of snow beyond Howser! Ice is off Trout Lake.

Avalanches were coming down "hot and heavy" in that "general" area Easter weekend. Things are at least 3 weeks behind. Almost zero bare dirt to be found. Cut one set of tracks in 4 days and they were from a blackie and were over 7000' in elevation.

For those of you who can only head over once for your grizz draws, the later the better.

SSS, what area are you drawn for, I could keep an eye out. Neighbour lost a goat to a grizz and a couple others have been seen.
