cougar hunting pics... here kitty, kitty, kitty

some cougar pics....sorry fellas the 4 legged kind ahahaa.....

The day started @ 5am...temp -28 ....out looking for tracks.. found two sets..back to the bro inlaws for breaky, to cold to run the dogs. Sooo.....out for a little yote hunt till it warmed up, seen one dog....way out on the lake...took a couple of shots but he was on a dead run....lucky day for this buger...
Finally warms up to -18...back to get the dogs....by now 6 hrs had passed, dump the the dogs on the tracks we found earlier...off they go.. i had one on the leash...the other three were gone on the sent...
(man can a little 40-50 pound dog pull you around the mountain like a rag doll, it was all i could do to hold on hahahaha)....
We followed the trail up and down, around ridges, the track now crosses the road.....the other bro in law sees the dogs cross the road and now he is with them...(those gps for your dogs are the cats ass)....we wait for radio contact..."they've crossed the creek".. and are full tilt on the track..."they've treed him"...woooo hooo..
Now me and the bro in law have to find them....the only way to get to them is to cross the three creeks....We ran across the water,
(well it was like a cross between mosses and chris angel.....hahahaha)...we some how managed to stay dry, feet and all.
Get to the tree and there he is...about 120 ish pound kitty cat...
This was my first cougar hunt (pursuit) supper fun day....!!!!!

You have to love that last picture of the hounds, yaps wide open singing in unison. Quite the quartet.
It does make for a fun day alright, dead or alive.

I agree with your thoghts on not shooting this cat ,when the time comes you will know what to shoot.
