Some Region 7-6 grouse

Well we just got back this weekend from our mooseless trip to 7-6. Had a great week of adventures and experiences however. The grouse hunting was good and my son shot his first few grouse on this trip which was the highlight for me.

Heres Jakes first grouse ever. Good shot (sans head). He was using his NEF single shot 20 gauge I bought him for Christmas last year.

A couple I shot on the last day heading home.


Most of the grouse where on the mainlines but a few were shot on overgrown spurs while out for walks. Good time had by all. Already planning next years trip.

Thanks guys. We had a great time regarless of no moose. Saw lots of interesting area and covered alot of ground both in vehicle and on foot. The last day Chris and I went on a 6 hr canoe ride down the Willow River with only 2 log jams to bypass (I thought it was going to be alot worse).
