Am new to hunting finally this year.
I wanted to do some grouse hunting, but have no clue where to start.
I tried Squamish one morning, and no luck.
Heard about Coq, but dunno where to start. Can anyone give me a marked google map for reference?!

Don't get discouraged if don't see any grouse on your first hunt. I would try Squamish FSRs a couple more times before giving up. They'e illusive little buggers!
First--Know the land-know your prey.
Lots of grouse on the fsr's off the coquihalla this year.
Last week was my first time grouse hunting.. I went up the coq. with a friend, we got 4 big blues and saw 2 more. The best advice I can give you is get a off road map book and giver. If you go up the coq. try the larson hill exit. go to the west side of the coq. Britton creek area upper coldwater FSR there are tones of places to go 5 min from the hwy. remember know your back stop

Any pointers on which location? I went to about 37 and 39 mile area.
Exact location will be great.
birds cant read maps. Just keep putting on the miles and you will get a feel for what habitats they are using at what time of year.
good luck.
