Can I hunt on your land?

Well I was just wondering the wording you guys use to ask the owners permission to hunt on there land.
    What works?
    what doesn't?
do you offer geese in return? beer?

Dress nicely, no dirty camouflage and cigarette hanging from your mouth, and talk to the farmer. Tell him you’re interested in hunting on his property and that you’re are serious hunters. It helps if you can show him references or a membership card of an organization like the BCWF or DU, anything that sets you apart form the usual unshaven riff-raff that knocks on his door.
