Off to the Kettle Valley for my doe...

Well I got my first doe tag... for 8-12.
I am very excited to try for my first deer...

Anyone got any hints they would like to share about some good areas? I dont mind hiking into the bush.

    Thanks!

I'll be heading up there myself tomorrow. I'm not sure where we'll be camping, but I will have my old (red) Isuzu Trooper and my B-I-L will have his Landcruiser Wagon. Stop and say hi if you see us.

There are lots of whitetails in 8-12, and if you're willing to get into the trees, you won't have a problem.

You'll do fine with a doe tag! I don't think you'll get much detail from anyone on where to go but you probably won't need it either Grab yourself a backroads mapbook and check out a few roads... Go for a walk and try to find some newer cuts and you WILL see deer!
Good luck-post a trip report when you get home

Does in 8-12? Take your time and dont go too far from the truck. I got half a dozen in the yard right now! Need me to tie one up?

You will not have a problem finding a doe with a bit of time spent.

    Just a quick note.
If you are hunting in the Kettle Valley your NOT in 8-12. The KV is 8-14.
Try any cut block around Big White/Beaverdell/Carmi. You should not have any trouble.
    Have a great time.

Just to clarify the 8-12 boundaries...... The west half of the KV is 8-12 from Westbridge to Rock Creek. West Kettle is 8-12 and yes extends to Big White and east to the Okanagan Height of Land.

    The whities are everywhere here!
