    Butchers or coolers in Quesnel

    Hi all,

I've never hunted the area but I'm thinking positive... are there any meat cutters you could recommend in Quesnel? We have a moose draw in 5-15D and it would be simplest to get it cut and wrapped there, assuming we get something...

    Thanks in advance

We've used most/all of them over the years...and honestly I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending any of them. If you use someone there, try to ask a local if they know who has been doing okay jobs lately. And maybe do up the backstraps yourself....

    good luck with the moose.

There is the Fox Dairy Farm.

They only hang though, don't cut.

Cariboo Country Sausage has always done a good job on my stuff. Just a mile or two south of town by the Red Bluff Inn.

JD Meats will butcher it for you. I'm not sure if Cariboo Country cuts game anymore, heard a rumor they don't. If I was just looking to hang it, Fox Dairy is the best IMHO. Good Luck. K

Excellent... thanks guys. We'll call around these places and I'll post up the results after the hunt.

Now to go find some critters...
