Shipping Taxidermy

Just wondering if anyone has had experience shipping a deer mount? I've got my deer at a friends place in calgary and have been wondering how to get it out here, without me going to pick it up. Greyhound?

Best is in a wood crate, heavily wrapped in bubble wrap/foam etc.

Mounts from Africa often come mounted on the inside of the wood crate (as if displayed) and wrapped up..

Greyhound woudl be my last choice, I've observed their baggage handling procedures (just abotu anyone can walk away with a box at one of thier stops) and I'd go straight to a shipping company or courier.
