I've heard that Delta Waterfowl is trying to get it opened to duck and goose hunting. We hunt in the Pitt WMA so it's a possibility (but closed areas are hard to get opened again). It usually requires a trade off where one area is closed to hunting and another is left open. I don't know any of the details of the Squamish WMA though, anyone have any information?

I've been looking for info on the area... can't find any so far. Might have to call the biologists of region 2.

From what I understand the Squamish municipality has banned the discharge of firearms in the squamish estuary due to noise complaints and safety concerns... yet they are complaining about canada geese eating their soccer fields and pooping in their parks!!!
