A few of us went out last weekend for jackrabbits. We mananged to bag seven. We saw around 40 or so but most were out at 400yds or farther. They had been shot at before so they were a little shy of us.
These jacks were all shot at around 300yds. We used 22-250, 243, 25-06, and a 220Swift. We also brought shotguns but we had no close shots.
Was a fun day. We only managed to get one pic as our cameras froze.

This is a couple years ago now. The little guy holding the big varmit squirrel is my nephew Russ, Ryan the gun carrier is in the red hat and the shooter on crutches is our youngest son Ben. Russ was given the job of keeping an eye on the evil little limb rat as the big guys scurried out of the house to do the deed. The little guy was very proud of being involved in his first hunt.
Up near McBride, they were everywhere!!!

It is an 11'2" alligator that I got last Feb. in Florida. Fun thing to do!! John harpooned his from a fan boat, that was WAY fun!!!!
This is John's 7'+ and following is our son Pete's that was just under 7'
