    Portugese water dog

Hi guys and girls have any of you heard of using a portugese water dog as a retriever? They sound like good dogs but I cant seem to find any reference on them being used for hunting. I have had a black lab, and a golden retriever but am interested in what else is out there.
    thanks
    Chris

:Ok, do you have a pic of this dog? I've never heard of one. Have you ever hunted upland birds with this dog. Interested. Thanks.

My fiancee's cousin has one and its a smart friendly dog. (no stupid looking haircut) Im still trying to find out if they are ok with colder weather as we plan on moving out of the area hopefully sooner rather than later. Since they dont have an undercoat it seems as if they would be better suited for warm weather, or indoor life. Does anyone know if this is true?

Here is Diego at trout lake. He hasn't learned to swim yet, but was so eager to get to those damn ducks out on the water, hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

As most with most Portuguese water dogs, it was impossible to keep him out of the water.
