Seeking fall hunting buddy - Wife won't let me hunt alone

Greetings everyone. Is there anyone out there interested in deer hunting (and the odd Grouse) in the 100 Mile House area (MU3) or Christian Valley area (MU this fall (Oct or Nov)? I'm a retired business exec living in Downtown Langley. I have all the necessary gear to effectively hunt deer, bear, elk or predators but made a promise to not go out alone. Not to mention I'm now at an age where hauling a dead critter out of the woods all by myself is no longer reasonable. The fellow I normally hunt with has commitments elsewhere this season. If you have an interest, send me a text at 778-788-6221 and we'll meet to discuss details. Rick

I can't help you out as I am the "wife" in this instance.
But I agree with her! She is right, so go buy her some flowers!

If she holds the flowers out and stands really still maybe she will draw in an Elk.

Easier to get forgiveness than it is permission. Just go and have fun. Deal with her when you get home.

It has been pointed out to us that the proper number to consider in the event of violent aggression is "911"- if you are of the rabbit people. Others will do better to place their faith in the number "1911".

"DEAL WITH HER WHEN YOU GET HOME"
A lot of brave keeboard warriors on this site.
Or perhaps the reason for the high divorce rate.

3 times i did a "fancy hunt" to try to keep the wife happy....i tried to explain at the time that only getting 1 or 2 trips a year between age 55 and 65 leaves me maybe 15 or 20 hunting trips in my life where i can hunt hard with the strength and stamina needed to hunt hard. We stayed in a nice hotel in oosoyoos the first time but just a motel (for the dog) the next 2 times. i would get up at 4 and make my way up to RC....i managed to get a deer all 3 times. she still complained about being "stuck" in the hotel with nothing to do...i am now single and able to re-prioritize hunting to where it should be...

To each his own, and with all due respect to anyone’s sense of duty to their relationship….I don’t make commitments to hunt, travel, or do anything dependant on anyone who needs to ask their wife’s permission. Too often it’s a cop out when the rubber meets the road and it’s time do do a thing and some poor unknowing wife is the fall guy for a husband to bail on a commitment.

Good on anyone who makes it work however they can….too many casual divorces in my opinion…..definitely not giving anyone any relationship advice….but I choose not to rely on any adult in need of permission from another. I agree there may be a need to have any discussions necessary…will this work for us both? Why/why not etc…..but to get permission? My wife won’t let me do xy or z? Nah.
