Looking for hunting area near Rail Lake

Hey everyone,

I am taking up an offer from a friend of mine to use his cabin at Rail Lake during hunting season. I have never hunted the area before and am looking for any suggestions. I am by no means asking for your secret hunting spots; just general areas to hunt.

Generally, I suspect the entire area has potential. Make a couple of summer trips up and figure out a game plan. Time spent field, doing recon.

I always google spots, personally its just more out of curiosity than anything. I just find it truly amazing the country we have in BC. But I do get what you are getting at.

Go do your own recon of the area yourself .

The truth that I’ve learned is that you gotta go make it happen yourself. All the tips in the world won’t put game on the ground. Animals are in one part of a valley one day and next week somewhere else completely.

I’ve had the most success that way. Tips don’t help. Recon helps a lot.

What species are you after? I'd say that you're good for deer and moose [ if drawn ]
