Starting to plan a moose hunt and Netson Lake came into our sights [fly in from Muncho lk]. Has anyone been there recently? Any feed back you're willing to share?? Primarily after a nice cabin and some moose hunting.

A very busy popular fly in hunting spot . Good hunting but plan 2-3 day hike off the lake to get back into the prime spots .

theres a cabin on the lake... Urs flies you in there, he has a min rental for the cabin. He owns it. It was $$$
Yup, same as us. We hunted the first year that the tri palm rule came into effect. No 2/3/10 rule back then, just an immature 2 pt or tri palm. We saw half a dozen bulls over 45" that had 2 points on the palm, shot a 40" 4x4 palm and a 2 point. One off the lake at the south end and the other way back off the lake on our quest for sheep (a loooong walk through a nasty burn to Brownie and Gataga....).
We camped where Urst has his cabin now. Outfitter had camp up the river at the north end. Met the most beautiful Kiwi woman there....couldn't say sh8t without tripping over myself!! Haha. Came back to camp one day and there was a zip lock with fresh blueberry muffins! Could have, should have...oh well!!
Great grayling fishing at the creek mouths and good lakers in the lake. Bring a boat if not staying with Urst.
No idea what it is like now, probably busy like every where else.
Good luck'
Cheers

Well we sure don't have to spend that much to hike 2 or 3 days to get into a good moose area!! Thanks for the feedback gents!

Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC
Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
