    For the trackers amongst us

Pretty nuts how far some guys (especially out east) will drag a deer rather than quarter and pack it out

Imagine trying to pack out 100+ pounds of whitetail meat in 12+” of snow. Dragging downhill in snow is much easier than packing.

It is do able if your are young. Not so much now that I am 65.
I did moose quarters that would weigh more than that white tail. Smartened up and bought a deer cart.
Worked steel most of my life, weight was irrelevant.
Travelled most of BC with a 100lb backpack when I was young(1981).
Saying today in my age group is have young, dumb and full of comb to pack out the animal.
The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
The worst day slinging lead is still better than the best day working.
Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because that’s the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"

    good vid tfs
6" of first snow I my favourite.

Fresh tracks everywhere, just think how many more deer he may have sighted if he had used some optics to look through the trees

We still use an econo kids plastic tubogan from CT, snow or no-snow it slides easier than hair on dirt

Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

    Pretty crazy vid!
Now if only reloaded rt away he wouldn’t have had to shoot it a second time up the asshole.
A good learning vid for newer hunters for sure.
An easy mistake non the less
