    Bear roast slow cooker recipes

    Got one last leg roast left, anybody got any really good ideas/recipes for big bear roast in slow cooker?

    Ive done bbq pulled bear and bear shredded into bear stroganoff lookin for somethin new

    Our current fav (we do ours in the instant pot but same same) is garlic, (a LOT of) onions, carrots, celery, along with some miso paste. Sometimes I'll add mirin.

    If I'm feeling 'fancy', I'll wait until everything is done and then add some potatoes, carrots, etc, and cook until they're done. That way you get the stew veggies that aren't mush (the earlier ones are for flavor).

    The onions and miso together are awesome.

    Other times, I use dashi or a premade nikujaga sauce.

    I have also made schnitzel that was awesome.

    I need to do another sous vide batch. That tenderizes everything and you can cook more like a steak. I've been experimenting using koji during the sous vide - it's a nice touch.

    Corned is my favorite for whole muscle bear cuts now!

    Just follow any standard Corning brine and then slow cook with veggies as you would a corned beef.
    Think, don't just have thoughts.

    I corned some venison but not bear yet. It's on the list! Maybe after my venison bitong is finished...

    What temp. and how long do you sous vide for?
