Muley Youth hunt lac le jeune

Hi all. I've never hunted the greenstone mt area west of lac le Jeune. I was wondering if it's a good area for my 14 year old to take a muley. He can't hike much so mostly road hunting or I would be taking him up top. It would be Sept 1st for the youth hunt. Any advice would be great. Last year he missed three opportunities because of crowds of other youth hunters in the princeton area. Looking for a change.

only hunted there a couple of times for moose but i did notice a big group of deer the one time.... WT and mules all together in the same group...when i got up close the MD bounced up over the hill and the WT separated and ran off towards the heavy trees along the creek and downhill....left me doing a bit of a double take ...did i really see that?

its a popular area for dirt bikers, recreational users and the likes. There are lots of good spots for youth season, just get out there and pick one, early sept is a bit busier for the other backcountry users so maybe look for a spot a bit less popular with the other groups, find something a little further away from the city

Thanks, I didn't know it was that popular. I'm so used to hunting where you have to hike a fair ways so my road hunting skills are weak. I know there is obviously deer there but I would like to stay away from the crowds.

All of Kamloops and Logan Lake hunt that area. Very busy and rough terrain. Nice lakes around there to camp though and lots of country! Hope he connects!
