Any updates on the remaining samples yet. And were all the negative samples of the urban deer utilized for food or given to the permit holders that couldnt find one.

100 deer removed through darting and bolt-gun.
42 Mule Deer total, of which 5 MD were Males
58 Whitetail total, of which 6 were male

1 Positive (WT doe)

Thanks JT been watching(googling) about it but they dont post much updates on it. So do you no of the 126 (Kimberly included) deer killed with only 1 positive case what was done with the remaining 125 were
they given to people to eat or just thrown away.
Was a recent article about CWD in one of the local papers about wolves or using them to help control CWD now I dont think it had a lot of merit, but does bring up the topic of predators vs CWD.
A few years ago was a big push to kill cougars in the EK to help ungulate numbers was the reasoning, now this did have a big impact on cougar numbers, then right after CWD cases pop up. Now they say
do ungulate herd reductions to help curb CWD. just something to think about

Ya I didnt see that any where, during the hunter permitted cull you could keep it, I no the GOABC use to donate meat not sure if they still do and a few years back when they did the first cull
