The BCWF should be ashamed of themselves for coming up with such a resolution. Maybe propose limiting the amount of LEH draws government employees get.

Not a bad idea...everyone buy their tags earlier in the year before the draw....I know certain ppl will b itch because they may end up not hunting for that particular species when $hit happens, but overall, our cost of hunting tags is minuscule compared to most other states etc...

Thanks for posting OP... ppl should start cancelling their BCWF memberships and voicing their disgust.....

The resolution was approved at the Region 1 level. What you are seeing is a notice of the resolution package that will go to the floor of the AGM in Dawson Creek for delegate approval or rejection of each resolution in the package. If you are a member of a BCWF club, you should make sure your club is discussing how the club delegates should vote on all resolutions at the AGM. The same thing goes for the direct members' club. If your club is not sending a delegate(s), they should be.

It's not the BCWF as a whole. It was proposed and will be voted on.

Why are people getting so worked up about this?

You have to be at least 12 to apply for a firearms license in this country.
How are these kids harvesting these "big game" animals?

    Seems common sense to me.
    1. Human over population
    2. Government burden and overreach

A 10 year old can use a firearm and hunt under direct supervision of a licensed adult. A 10 year old can take/pass the Core course, get their own tags and a apply for LEH. Parent or legal guardian edorses the youth licence. Have a look at page 6 of the synopsis.

Now that sounds like a great idea, how many of these kids that get a draw actually shoot their game and not their Dad's.

It takes a pretty poor dad to shoot their child’s tag. Maybe you’re not a parent but from where I’m sitting it’s always been” child’s tag is their own”. I’m there to help locate, assist and pack the animal out.
