    Fly in NE BC

We’ve been flying into the north country for several years and sharing a plane with three or four guys has been doable. I just asked for a quote to fly into our favorite area. Cost has almost doubled since 2023.

Anybody else experiencing this. Is there an available list of reliable
fly in transporters available for the 7B region?

The cost of fuel has tripled. Av gas cost me $1.75 in 2023 and today it is $4 or something. If the Burns Lake airport can get it.

All our extra taxes don’t help for sure. Then there’s insurance, maintenance and other costs I’m not aware of. Just a shock to see that kind of increase. Thanks for the input.

It will only get worse over the next few years. Just got a flyer from Muncho Lake and no price list in it , you have to call for a "quote" .
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero - 55 BC

Urs is about $30/mile on his beaver pricing and $20/mile on Cessna weights from what I can tell. Approx as they base their prices off lakes rather than a simple mileage rate it seems

Price per mile, so every mile the plane runs (there and back on the way in, there and back on the way out)

Ya thats not cheap is it,,40 miles in would be billed x4= 4800

Im headed to Alaska in Aug to hunt Brown Bear, the Super Club flights were $1100 USD for drop off and pickup, which is 4 flights technically the same

Urs is very expensive. I don’t understand how he can justify more than twice the price of other operations.
