    Vortex warranty

I have been using my Vortex Diamonback Bino's for about ten years.
One of the eye cups came loose,A screw fell out,Also felt very gitty when you turn them.
Figured I'd send them in for warranty repair.

3 weeks later they replaced them with a new pair, with harness carrying case as bonus
said they found some moisture in barrel.
    Now thats a good warranty!!

Glad you had a good experience. I unfortunately had a vortex scope fail at the wrong time such that I could not see the mature 3 point Blacktail with Coke can bases through my scope.

    Re: Vortex warranty

Vortex certainly has one of the best warranties in the business. It's even better than Leupolds warranty.

Same as Leupold and many other optics companies.

Thirty years of using leupold and i've never needed at warranty. One year using vortex and I needed to use the warranty three times. I've never bought vortex crap since

This is great to hear. I've got razor binos and a spotter that I need to send in.
When in doubt, just pin it.

What model Vortex gave you trouble?

That's fortunate. I've been using Leupold scopes for at least as long and have about 20 0f their scopes. I have had to get work done on a number of them.

I also have over a dozen Vortex scopes and I've had to use the warranty on 2 Vortex optics. One was a Viper that only lasted 800 rounds on a 50 BMG and the other is a set of Razor binoculars that I damaged so that the eye cup won't screw up/down anymore. Totally my fault but Vortex is fixing it for free, unlike Leupold who charge you to fix damaged optics- which I dont' think is unfair but obviously Vortex is better in that regard.

I wouldn't buy the low end Vortex or Leupold optics for anything other than range plinking toys as the lower end scale of any product line is more prone to failure. As with many things, you get what you pay for.

    Re: Vortex warranty

Vortex viper hd 10x42 binos twice and a viper scope. I did get them back within four weeks, but the only other time I had to send any optics in front warranty was my swaro el 10x32 binos. I told them that I had a problem with my eye cups. They sent me off a return authorization, so I didn't have to pay for shipping to swaro they told me my lenses were scratched, and that wasn't part of the warranty coverage, so when they sent me an email saying my el 10x32 we're finished and on their way back. They told me it was all free of charge. They did not charge to put new lenses inn and when I got them back, they were brand new and also got them back within four weeks. I have never sent leupold in for warranty. The only scopes I run are leupold
