    potassium permanganate

    Anyone here know where a person can buy potassium permanganate? have tried pharmacy's and pool places in Kamloops. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank-you

    what did the pool places tell you about availability?
    it used to be on the shelf at Cdn Tire, but now that the U.N. has it listed as "bad" maybe its more controlled under the turds rule
    Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

    Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

    I got to look this up, but if I speculate, and forgive me if I’m way off but look for SODIUM THIOSULFATE.

    Potassium permanganate is a heavy oxidizer used primarily in the water treatment world to remove iron and manganese from water.. maybe that can help you track some down..

    Sodium thiosulfate is used primarily for dechlorination...

    Amazon sells it as aquarium water treatment.
