Happy new year everyone. As hunting season draws to an end, I was curious if there were any problems parking your truck in the bush and going for a walkabout? Thefts, vandalism etc.

Not me, but a buddy who drives a small Tracker dropped off his propane burner and tank at his camp spot up Scottie Creek in November, covered them with a tarp, took off hunting (you know how short the days are) and they were gone when he came back.
You spin the wheel and take your chances just about everywhere. But there is definitely a few places where the odds are against you. No proof but I think roads that have more than one way out and are is closer to town ups odds of trouble.
No one on their death bed ever said; I should have spent more time at work.
Write on a piece of paper, You might want to rethink your choices. I might just be watching. Tape a bullet onto the paper and tape the paper to your window. I would put one on each side window. just sayin..... I never had a problem at Alouette lake and it is a known spot for break ins.
Never had a problem and have hunted some 'problem' areas. Lock it up the best you can and carry on hunting. If it happens it will happen, deal with it then.

Never had a problem in region 4 not alot of scumbags around these parts or maybe the understand the potential outcome of stealing stuff.
My Note, left on windshield:
John,
Got tired of waiting, so went up to that first lookout.
I can clearly see the truck as it is well within range.
Come up to meet me when you get here.
Rifle case openly laid across the front seat.
Never had an issue...
Cheers

Left my truck on the road to Eneas lakes in Peachland area a few years back while I took my quad hunting and some dirtbags smashed the rear side window out and stole a bag full of hunting gear and ammo. Pretty sure I saw them go bye me on a side by side about an hour or so before that and they were shooting a semi auto on the mountain top across the valley from me for an hour or so prior to that, not that I see anything wrong with that, but whoever it was they were lucky I didn’t come up on them doing it or they would have had some lead in their side by side.
Note on window nothing in this truck is worth your life ...
Shhhhitttt I got this hold my beer
