I had the Ken onion belt sharpener and went to this one, it’s not electric but my results are much better.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero - 55 BC

Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC
Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
Frankly they don't exist anymore. The parts are all made in china and assembled where ever.
Plastic cogs and poor blade adjustments.
If you can find an old electric knife sharpener buy it.
I have a very early Mastercraft with a 3" slow turning water cooled stone.
I also have a very early Craftsman knife sharpener.
I use the Mastercraft and then a touch up with a Victorinox fine diamond impregnated steel(bought in 2007). You can shave with my butcher knives.
Watch a video on how to sharpen butcher knives. It opened my eyes.
The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
The worst day slinging lead is still better than the best day working.
Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because thats the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"
You could always buy a Tormek . Or a Veil Belt grinder from Quebec with a plethora of different grit belts available . I have this machine .

Belt sharpening takes a lot of steel... it's easy to wear a blade out. I will use a belt sander to sharpen other peoples knives but rarely and lightly on mine. I have a large diamond 'stone' double sided two grits.
