I have had multiple harvest questionnaires that asked for my info on wolf, and grouse hunting only, yet I had tags for deer, elk, moose and black bear. The old system was a joke, we should be reporting on everything we have tags for.

I think I agree with this. Now that we are in a digital system it's pretty easy to submit info from your season/ success rates etc etc..

But I'm conflicted on how accurate someones' info should be. From reading the opinions on here I see a benefit on being accurate with info supplied but also a benefit on being grossly inaccurate on hunting/ harvest data.

So you’re thinking a person should say they hunted the maximum number of days in the season and was unsuccessful, in order to lower harvest ratios? Thusly resulting in the govt artificially increasing opportunities? It’s a slippery slope that won’t be helped by the fact that my fn brethren don’t have to report.

While this tactic “might” increase future opportunities, it might also lead to overhunting and further decline of the species. The gov needs to use actual wildlife population numbers, (SCIENCE) not hunter surveys to figure out reasonable harvest rates. Maybe that’s what they are trying to establish with the new reporting system, but until all men are equal and your value as a hunter is not decided by race, the information they are gathering is basically meaningless.
If we’re not supposed to eat animals, how come they’re made out of meat?

Fully agree with this. However, I see this compulsory "everyone who's not FN" must participate as a means of countering the obvious lack of real data coming from the FN community, (as I see a lot of the restrictions we're facing). Someone on here said the FN community is about 3% of the population of BC. What is the percentage of FN hunters to resident hunters? Much higher I'd bet. Things that can't continue won't. This isn't a natural system. It's a Government and Judical system construct. It's logical conclusion will be serious reductions in resident hunter opportunities into the future until they're essentially gone. It didn't have to be this way and it shouldn't be this way, but the Government and Courts have shoved it down our throat. Wait till it effects resource extraction and land access.

The system is not efficient, when I hunted cats, I’d do a compulsory inspection, then I’d get a questionnaire about hunting cougar. Wtf, they have me in the system. With gps coordinates!?!?
    Same for moose and caribou.

It's the same thing with moose, when I do the compulsory report on killing a moose in past years, I still get the questionnaire about moose hunting?? Who TF is running this outfit?

Shouldn’t this result in the ministry reducing opportunity due to a lack of animals?
