Park Mtn?
have never seen elk north of Sugar Lk myself
Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC
Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
I've heard talk of a herd in the Lumby area. Once past Cherryville your best bet would be to continue all the way to Arrow Lake, Edgewood.
There up there It’s just a long hike in and would not be a fun pack out
Must be some isolated pocket of refuge? Lots of the country there has quad access
well, not 'lots' maybe ........

Sugar Lake FSR is definitely well traveled. Monashee Powder runs a cat-skiing operation throughout the winter, so even if there's no logging the road will be ploughed to their staff parking area. Guests are picked up at the Cherryville Roadhouse for a 40 minute ride up the road in a School bus fitted with chains. Then it's another 40 or so the rest of the way to the lodge in a snowcat.
