    Binocular Recommendations

What are you guys using in the $1000-2000 range for binoculars? 10x42mm is what I'm looking at.

I’m using an old pair of Leupold Mojave 10x40’s, I think I paid $380 for them 15yrs ago. Early Sept I was out with a couple guys and we were comparing bino’s, justin and I swapped binos and he commented that my old Leupold green rings were just as clear as his 3yr old 12x Swarovski’s. Not sure which model they were but when I looked through his binos my exact thoughts were….why is everything so far away and there is no way I’d pay $2k for these.

I have a pair of Leica Trinovid HD 10x42s. I believe they are right in your price range. Best binos I've ever owned glass and durability wise.

I have the Vortex Razor 10x42 and they have been great for a lot of years. I believe now they run about $1500.00 at Lone Butte Sporting Goods.

You can get a pair of used sig 3000 binos for about $1K. Granted the glass is just okay, but the added range finder ability tips the scale. The newer sig 6000, I have not really researched about, but are right there as well in $$.

After back and forth, I believe that for a hunter, it’s better to be a RF bino. I hate Nikon for the warranty treatment but their laserforce is the good choice. If I have free money, I would buy a RF bino with bullet holdover reading. My RF is Leica 2800.com, which is convenient for ranging with the bullet holdover. I wish mine could be a RF bino which would be more than $3000 though

Leica Trinovid HD or Zeiss Conquest HD would be my top 2 choices in your price range

I second this as well, Ive used several sets of both and they are excellent glass for the money, Zeiss Conquest HD can be had at not a bad price right now as they are moving them out for the new Conquest HDX version, if you go on Facebook TJ Schwanky has a couple pairs on sale right now, I picked up a scope at a great price from him.

I know he's on HBC every so often but don't recall his online name.
