Chilliwack/ Vedder

Been years since I fished the Chilliwack ,Vedder, Chehalis . I’m sure it’s an absolute gong show with increase in people taking up the sport . I have all the gear . What’s the steelhead run like in the Vedder/ Chilliwack now .
Is there a better website to ask questions on .

There are numerous Chilliwack-Vedder Facebook pages.
I left my tackle box behind two weeks ago and recovered it from a nice guy who picked i tup and left it at Fred's Takle for me.

And yes, it was a gong show, but people with the right gear (not me) were catching fish. Limits of coho.

I am never going back.

Won't be much for steelhead now. They'll start coming through in December after the bulk of salmon are dead and gone. Vedder has a lot of fish and a lot of anglers right now. People are out at there spots at 3am with headlamps, waiting for first light. It's pretty crazy haha.

Seriously ! . The Vedder/ Chilliwack system and Chehalis have been know to anglers for ions . What I do see and think is a lot of New Canadians now fishing were years ago hardly any .

Oh yes I understand that Iwas just wondering what the run was like compared to about 20 years ago

I see. I'm sure numbers are down quite a bit since then, but with hatchery programs going, there's still a decent return. There's a derby every year with quality fish caught.

You can just Google fishing with rod and you'll find a forum similar to this one. No Facebook necessary.
