Curious the logic of using lithium in the winter vs alkaline?
I love those Gardepro cameras. I run mine on video as well. A picture is worth a thousand words but a 30 second 30fps video is 900 pictures
Lithium lasts longer and works better in the cold. Another thing to watch in the cold is the opening and closing of the camera the clamp/clasp can break.
Thanks for the info - timing is great. I've been looking at the GardePro A3S - I think it's the new model? Hoping for a good black friday/cyber monday deal...
The T5NG is the updated model from the A3S.
First time running them this year and have been very happy. I have a fleet of 25+ cameras that are all considered top tier and in the field 365 days a year. The GardePro T5NG will slowly be replacing them all.
I have had great luck with Spypoint cameras, own a few different types. They seem to get decent reception, a little less than my iphone. On some locations where signal was very low, i bought some cheap aftermarket antennas with a 10 foot cable. I limbed the tree the camera was attached too and put the antenna as high as i could, it certainly seemed to help with reception.
The highest megapixel camera is 14mp. The images could definitely be clearer. I cant always count points if the bucks are far away
If i had all the money in the world, i would stick with spypoint and get their highest resolution cameras.
At basspro in tsawwassen, a 2 pack of spypoints with go on sale for less than 200 bucks, pretty fair deal!
Megapixels ratings get inflated by companies purely for marketing. The mp are increased artificially through interpolation, not really improving picture/video quality in most cases and causes your file sizes to be way larger than necessary.
