I have no issue with does. I did crop protection for 5 years so we had to take whatever walked out. I never asked myself whether this meat I am eating is from my buck or doe. Meat is meat and it feeds my family so I don't judge. I may not have the biggest bucks on my wall but the memories with my buddies are the same whatever we shoot or catch.

    My sentiments exactly.

That all confirms my thoughts on it. If I see a solitary doe, she’s going in the freezer. I had a monster one in my sights last week, but she was with two younger ones so I let them walk, with specific instructions to give birth to big buck babies!
If we’re not supposed to eat animals, how come they’re made out of meat?

I have lots of wt does around my place , enough that it wouldn’t hurt if I took a dry one every year.
most of the fertile modes double up on babies every year.

See no problem at all in taking a doe for meat.

I had an opportunity at last light yesterday, but it would have been a “170 grain high colonic” type shot, so she walked away into the night. Saw 5 does though, which is the average I’ve seen for the past week or so. Stuff is moving it seems.

My freezer is low, so I’m leaning towards topping it up early. The deer population in general on the Hwy 33 corridor has been way down, so getting a buck there is a lower odds situation.
I thought you live in R4? Because you can shoot a WT buck in a different region then hammer one in R8, as long as you haven't exceeded your 3 deer Prov bag limit...
