    Okanagan forest task force

To be 100 % clear I don’t dump garbage and it pisses me off that it happens . That being said, what gives this group the rights to take pictures of people and vehicles then post on social media etc. who made Kane Blake a cop ?

    It’s certainly a fine line.

I know many in the Okanagan enjoy his groups work while mentioning in the same breath that he can be a bit too vocal/media present.

Mabey Mr Blake could use some of his “authority “ to remove a bunch of the squatters trailers in every clearing throughout the valley.

If enough people complain/post pics, maybe the cops/co’s will actually start dealing with the ass clowns that leave a mess everywhere.

We have too many social justice warriors using social media in misleading or irresponsible ways. They take no responsibility for what they post. If they witnessed someone dumping garbage and can prove it, then go to the cops. Sounds like this guy needs a swift kick in the balls.

If the COs acted promptly then social media shaming wouldn't be needed. The COs aren't responsible for cleanup either. Government buck passing policy means no one is responsible for the cleanup. Look at all the derelict boats that wash up on shore. It's a Federal responsibility. No, it's Provincial. No, it's municipal.

This isn't new - I remember an incident around 25 years ago where a pile of household garbage was found in the forest. Important tip: if you dump your garbage, don't include your mail with your mail and address. People were encouraged to call them after drinks and late at night. It might have been HuntingBC.

I didn’t know anything about this so I googled the task force. Sounds like they are cleaning up tons of garbage dumped by asshats. Not sure if he is the one that needs the kick in the balls.
Your asking in the wrong place. This is the tinfoil hat capital of the internet

I have no problem with him posting pic's and video's. You do realize in the short time that this group has been active they have removed over a 1 million lbs of garbage.

    The balls have been kicked.

    Other work the OFTF performs.

I agree in principle that public shaming is problematic. In this case it's like the tree falling in the forest question. if there's no trailer dumped in the forest, will anybody see the picture.

So, what you are saying is that because he isnt a cop or co he doesnt have the right to call people out for their behavior. That being said are you a cop or co? Do have the right to call Mr. Blake out for what he did?

The group that he has organized has done a great job of cleaning up the back woods in the okanagan and fighting wildfires. I have seen a reduction in dumping in this area thanks to them. And quite frankly more people need to be called out for dumping garbage, cars, trailers, etc.

Also, there should be somewhere set up that would take old RVs and campers. Like an auto wrecker.
