I like to keep it simple.
Fried in butter. Salt, pepper, maybe garlic.
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, in the pan with lots of butter. I you wish after it's nicely browned make a gravy with it. And onions if you have them.
Me and my kids got a few the other day for the first time, we just put steak spice on the breast and cooked them over the fire in sticks. They tased really good
I would have tried frying them if i had any oil with me
Cut into nuggets or strips and soak in franks red hot. Crack some pepper into flour. Toss the nuggets in the flour then fry in oil or butter. Delicious
Yes,butter helps. Like I tend to do usually, slice a bit of deer loin the next day, throw it in the pan done medium and a bit of butter on top..

I am fond right now of some local stuff like Charlies hot sauce but will keep this in mind.

Butterfly breast..pound it flat..dip in egg then panko with seasoning and fry. Good in a bun or schnitzel with a jager sauce. Found a good buttered grouse recipe on net as well. Save carcass for soup or stock.
