Seems to work most of the time.

I had a hard time getting a reading on some trees last weekend. It worked on some more reflective stuff but not others. Maybe it needs new batteries? I know battery is a couple years old. I don't have a new 9v battery kicking around or I would replace it.

It worked fine for me until I bought the new one.

I'd mess around with it but I bought another one that I like better anyway. (BTW I bought this one: https://www.tidewe.com/collections/rangefinder)
