    Nicely done !!!
    Great video

    I took my only bull with a longbow . Early September years ago as well. We had to work hard to get that great meat cooled off. Hope you got help !!Click image for larger version.

    A long bow would be even harder! I had a couple buddies offer to help but they were over 3 hours away so I just did it myself, I soon regretted it after the first pack of 5 lol

    I wasnt able to remove the whole elk like my first one and deboned the fronts. I did do a comparative estimate based on my hip weights from my first one. The hips weighed roughly 70lbs on my first one with a total weight of 412lbs hanging. This guys hips weighed 90lbs so about 25% more which I estimate at around 515lbs dressed

    I tip my hat to you for all that work. When you take down an Elk or a moose , the work starts ....in cool weather you can take your time , but early season, sometimes it needs to be done asap.

    Again congratz and ya have some fine eating for the winter !

    thats quite the weight difference, both with similar racks?
    Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

    Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
