    Spring and Early Fall Boots?

Looking for some new hiking boots under $250. I prefer leather, but not opposed to other options. Don't have to be insulated since I already have late season boots. Had some UA boots, they were light and comfortable, but not durable. Had some Columbias, same problems.
Lots of good deals right now, but the options shrink fast for size 13s.
    Has anyone tried these?

    I'm open to suggestions.

Edit: I'll add that I'm not a fan of hiking shoes. Prefer something a little taller so I'm not getting dirt, rocks, sticks in my boots.

Had some asolo horizon back in 2012. They fit like they were built for my feet. Light weight, gortex... blew apart in one season after I got some weight on my pack... wore them as leaky boots for 2013.

Bought some Scarpa kenisis pros in 2014. In 2022 they started blowing eyelets and coming apart at the seems.

I hear good things about the scarpas. Good sales on now, but nothing in my size locally.

What do red wing/ Irish setter boots cost these days? They have stores in the lower mainland and you could be fitted.

Look at the Zamberlan website. They always have discounted stuff. THey're my favorite pair of boots. I checked them out because of recommendations here.

Cabelas, VPO, and Red Wing are all in the same area in Abby. I'll stop by all three next time I'm out there.

I'll check the website. Boots are definitely something I like to try on before I buy though.

If you don’t have wide feet get Scarpa SL Active. Spend the extra $100, they last forever. Don’t get Gortex, properly treated they are incredibly waterproof. They use great leather.
Your asking in the wrong place. This is the tinfoil hat capital of the internet

I ended up getting the boots I linked in the OP at VPO in Abby. I tried on a handful of boots and they fit best. Construction seems really good, but only time in the bush will tell. My only knock on them is no toe cap, but in the price range ($225) the reviews are really good. No scarpas in my size, but they looked like good boots. Seen reviews on the the Aku Tribute vs Scarpa Terra GTX and lots of folks liking the Akus more. Tried on some Hanwags and they fit pretty small; too narrow and short for me; no 14s in stock.

Never heard of them... I would have went with a well known brand with a proven track record, but let us know how they hold up.
