Hi guys,
We got an early bull moose draw in region 7-10 this year. I'm looking for a few tips and a good place camp. Preferably away from the crowds. We'll be doing a ton of slow walking/waiting and calling but any area suggestions would be appreciated. We like to hike so off the beaten path is great!

You will shoot one off the Blackwater road, seriously!!! Wouldn’t even set up a camp, you will get one off the road in!! Moosin

I’ve killed a bunch of moose out that way over the years! It gets to be a gong show though, close to town, and lots of loop roads to hunt different mu’s.

Lots of new clearings in there closer to the end, towards the Blackwater/Fraser confluence, north of the Blackwater. Some nice spots in there. That or get south of the Blackwater river, but I haven't explored that part much yet.
Close to town, so there will be lots of locals cruising thru there for other game. Saw a pull along camper brought down near Fraser the other time out riding. One way haul, as it would be a grind to get it out. Was a fresh haul in to get ready for hunting, as the grass was just layed down, and the items we saw thru the windows.

Lots of ATV restrictions in there so make sure you check the latest regs , for road closures and ATV restrictions.
