Hi folks,
Wondering who has experience with Wiggys waders? How have they held up for you, and how much abuse can they take?
Cheers

I have them, they were waterproof for 6-8 hunts sheep/moose/caribou, with lots of crossings.
When I do go up north I still bring them, they leak a bit and good for quick crossings.
I’d likely buy them again if mine had a unfixable hole.
Interesting, I think the concept is great. I'm genuinely curious, do folks on here think there's room for improvement/be interested in an updated version? I know these came out a long time ago and technical fabrics have come a long ways since then. I'm picturing a better fit and tougher, to withstand abrasion and punctures from sharp rocks and sticks. Something truly durable and light/compact enough for backpack hunting would be really handy in my books. I'm surprised none of the big players in hunting/backpacking/fishing gear have come out with anything to compete with wiggys on these.

...Bump...
They aren’t high enough, hidden hold in a river will be too deep.

They are very handy to pack if you have some crossings. Much easier to keep your feet planted and fight the current with your boots on. Mine leaked after a few years. They are not bomb proof. I would buy another pair if I still had the need. No other options iirc.
If the world is warming why are there so many new snowflakes?
If we are all equal why do you demand special treatment?
You can not comply your way out of tyranny.
Fire them ALL!
There's no competitive product for the Wiggys because they fit a small niche purpose, being small and compact to pull on over mountain boots for occasional wet crossings
Another specialty item is the neoprene hip waders with a boot foot, better for longer wear and deeper water but not a good boot for extended rocky ground
Neos make some good over-boots but again a special niche
imho
Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC
Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
