Bobtail FSR turns to WMU 7-11 at +/- 58km. I think it turns back into 7-12 in the 80's before it hits the Kluskus at 93km, multiple spur roads along this stretch. Continue further down the Kluskus and you can access the south/southwest side of Tatuk and Finger lakes, as was mentioned in previous posts. Backroads map book and google earth are your friend
Only shoot small bulls near the road

Don't let anyone fool ya there will be moose in last years burn... Maybe not as many as there will be in years to come, but there will certainly be moose. Aerial surveys in the Southern Interior found higher densities in the burnt areas than before the burn passed through.

You should still be able to find a nice swamp to call from or canoe down the lake cow calling. The lake acts like a megaphone and you can hear them coming down grunting off the ridges and benches clear as day on a nice fall morning!

I was up north last year in an area I've been a few times. Had a fire previous year, and they clear cut TONNES of the burned timber. Changed a lot of the area.

Day 2, I ran into a 5 point, and day 3 into a 9 point, and lots of moose sign, so I know there was more there. That was one year after fire. I ended the hunt on the evening of day 3 with a seized sxs motor, and access was limited on the truck, so packed up and headed home early. Have a new sxs this year, so will most likely end up heading there this fall again.

So yea, don't let the previous year burn fool you, there will be lots of nice "greenery" there now a year later that the moose will love. I have not hunted in or been out to 7-11 before so can't comment on areas to camp/hunt.

    Thanks for the advice gentlemen!
The only thing I like as much as trucks, is guns.
